Breeding evaluation is a breeding assessment that is mandatory for a dog to be included in a breeding program. It involves a comprehensive assessment of the dog's conformation, temperament, and health.

Mandatory Health Tests

To successfully pass the breeding evaluation, a dog must meet the following health requirements:

  • Hip Dysplasia (HD) - X-ray examination with evaluation by a specialist
  • Patellar Luxation (PL) - examination of the knee joints with evaluation by a specialist
  • Hereditary Eye Disease - examination for hereditary eye defects with evaluation by a specialist
  • Thyroid - thyroid function test
  • DWLM (Dandy-Walker Malformation) - test for a genetic brain disorder

Don’t forget to bring all original documents with you to the evaluation, as well as the pedigree.

Mandatory participation in shows

The dog must participate in any two higher-level shows: international, national, club, or specialty. Participation must be documented by a certificate or an entry in the pedigree or an appendix.

Evaluation Process

The evaluation includes:

  1. Review of health records
  2. Assessment of conformation according to the breed standard
  3. Assessment of temperament and behavior
  4. Measurement and weighing
  5. Overall evaluation and breeding recommendations

Application for evaluation

To apply for evaluation, please fill out the evaluation application form and send it along with copies of health records to the breeding advisor’s email address no later than 14 days before the scheduled evaluation.

Breeding Evaluation Fee

The breeding evaluation fee is 1,000 CZK. For club members, the fee is 500 CZK.
